Current Definition Learning, problem-based
An approach that centers on a set of carefully selected and prepared problems intended to give the student an introduction to a domain, such as medical science. Students are put in an ill-structured problem situation with access to relevant information and resources. A group of students working with an experienced facilitator has to define the problem they wish to solve, come up with a problem-solving strategy, research related information (including traditional academic books and resources), develop hypotheses and finally decide when they have solved the problem adequately.
